10:14 AM Scotchick: whats 722? Censored: http://www.722.org 10:15 AM Scotchick: oh ok 10:17 AM Censored: Sorry you asked? ;) Scotchick: don't do organised religion 10:18 AM that looked way too heavy for me 10:19 AM Censored: Heavy? haha "Good times, good times." So I guess that dares the question, do you do any religion. 10:22 AM Scotchick: errrr heavy for a wed am. the bible is an interesting book, with good concepts but i don't think it should be taken literally. 10:23 AM there is more to the world than science can explain. but heaven and hell - too far fetched for me 10:24 AM Censored: Science neither proves/disproves Christianity. 10:25 AM Scotchick: nope 10:26 AM i generally avoid these conversations to avoid offending people Censored: I'm not worried about you offending me. :) 10:29 AM Scotchick: the fact that i'm a hymn singing, chruch goer has caused offense to people in the past. i don't do churches, i don't do priests or similar functionalities. i don't trust them and churches seem to be only interested int he money over here. yet people go homeless and hungry but the churches can afford to by prime atl real estate and have private jets for their staff. something is wrong with that. 10:30 AM i also object to a religous man telling me how to run my life. if i want to have an abortion (not that i';ve ever needed to) theni should have that right and not have someone else force me to screw up my life for something will is unwanted and will be rejected. hey you asked ;-) 6 minutes 10:37 AM Censored: In contrast to that, a lot of Churches in this community have large campuses and "prime real estate" because the community has given freely to these organizations. Not because these organizations demand the money of the community. And your government tells you what you can/can't do, how's that any different than religion? (This is a no-win topic anyway.) Scotchick: but when the opinions of a religion influence the state then that is wrong Censored: But, honestly. Why should Churches be tasked with solely taking care of the community. So you aren't part of a Church? Ok, fine. But have you personally done anything to help the homeless or the hungry? 10:38 AM Scotchick: i give to charities i also worked as a councellor in the UK to work with homeless women which is more than most people 10:39 AM Censored: More than most, yes. But donating your time is more valuable than donating your money.
